Bookmarks

Since I got a Kindle, I haven't read too many physical books, but I still love cute bookmarks. Though a book may say one thing about you, a bookmark can say something completely different. I definitely liked to use my Glinda the good witch bookmark for especially serious books, to give them a lighter edge.

My sister is away for the summer, working a theatre upstate and I forgot to give her back one of her precious Harry Potter books (book 6, for those keeping track) so I decided to make these bookmarks for her to use with HP or whatever strikes her fancy:

I used Die Cuts with a View cardstock, with an Imaginisce stamp. I colored the stamp image with EK Success chalk markers and Copic markers. I did the stitching with the Sew Easy tool.

The second bookmark was basically made with the same tools, except that the stamp is from Basic Grey. Also, both bookmarks were laminated using the Xyron Creative Station.

Happy 4th of July!
